2XC430-W250-T Firmware update issue

Issue:

I have a new 2XC430-W50T Connected to a RB-150. The wizard 2.0 did not detect the dynamixel. I went to recovery and found the model and try to install the software but the Firmware management shows the next button and previous button as subdued and it does not load the firmware.

Have you set the OpenRB-150 to USB passthrough via the example in Arduino IDE? Please make sure this is uploaded to the board.

The example name is usb_to_dynamixel.

I successfully got the sketch to USB to load on the RB150. I was actually getting the dynamixel working perfectly fine. However I loaded another code to the board and then went back and reinstalled the USB sketch back to the RB150, but now I am unable to scan and connect to the dynamixel. Ive tried in options every baud rate and protocol and it fails to connect?

If you did not change the baudrate or ID of the dynamixel, it should automatically ID 1 Baud rate 57600

If the usb_to_dynamixel uploads without a problem, then it is likely the problem is the actuator / communication.

Steps to try -

  1. Reupload the Code.
  2. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Wizard (V2.2.3.2)
  3. Ensure power is received by the actuator (red LED blinks once when plugged into power / a powered OpenRB-150).
  4. Ensure the openRB-150 is responding to your scanning - the orange USER LED should be blinking while DYNAMIXEL Wizard is scanning.
  5. You cannot be connected to Arduino IDE AND DYNAMIXEL Wizard at the same time. Make sure Arduino is fully closed before connecting to Wizard, the port will only connect to 1 application at a time.
  6. Make sure DYNAMIXEL Wizard is opening the correct port that your controller is plugged into.
