I would like to be able to set Dynamixel IDs directly using the Dynamixel SDK. Currently, this process only works through the terminal, which can be inconvenient for users who wish to automate or integrate it into their own applications.
It would be great to have functionality similar to what is available in the Dynamixel Wizard, which allows seamless ID assignment even when multiple Dynamixels are daisy-chained with the same initial ID. Since the Wizard is not open source, I’m very curious about how this feature is implemented internally.
How does ID Inspection work?
Adding such a capability to the SDK would be highly beneficial for developers and customers alike, enabling easier setup and configuration workflows.
