Inquiry About Scan Frequency Configuration for LDS-01

Issue:

I am currently working with the TurtleBot3 Burger model, which uses the LDS-01 sensor for 360-degree scanning, and I have some uncertainties regarding its scan frequency. Specifically, I am seeking clarification on the following points:

  1. Is the scan frequency of the LDS-01 sensor fixed at approximately 5 Hz, or is there any way to modify this frequency (e.g., by adjusting the motor’s rotational speed)?
  2. If adjustments are possible, could you provide guidance or documentation on how to achieve this?

The e-manual for robotis’ ld08_driver (TurtleBot3) states that the unit is rpm, but when converted to Hz, the value will be between 5Hz and above.
I have not yet found any documentation that says the sampling rate can be adjusted.
