Line Intersection issue on RB-86 and R-BLOCK

I had been trying to use the new Blocks that detect various Line Intersections on the RB-86 such as the example shown below.

I had found that Motor Speed 1 (i.e. SLOW) is still too fast for this kind of job. ROBOTIS needs to reduce the SLOW setting down further, more like “10” (if using RB-88).

Finally, I figured out that the ROBOTIS Line Tracking feature only work well for very specific conditions:

  1. The background has to be WHITE.
  2. The NIR Sensors have to be about 12 mm above the black line.
  3. The black line’s width has to be 15 mm wide.
