Amazon acquires warehouse machinery and robotics maker Cloostermans

Amazon is continuing it’s trend of acquiring robotics companies by announcing the purchase of Cloostermans. In contrast to iRobot, Cloosterman’s focus has been in warehouse robotics and automation.

Researchers at Donghua University and The Jülich Centre for Neutron Science have developed a new composition of elastic nanomesh attempting to mimic the qualities of human skin with the goal of eventually applying it to humanoid robots.
