Negative current in motor

I am using the PH54-100-S500-R
In the dynamixel wizard software, it indicates that the current goes to -5 A sometimes when the motor is rotating.
Is this fine if the current in the motor is in negative?
I want to understand the meaning of the current going in negative
Thanks for your support

Negative current just means that the motor will turn in the opposite direction. This is a perfectly normal operating condition for DC motors that turn in both directions during operation.
