Issue:
After a period of issue-free operation, the servo now immediately trips the overload error in response to any movement of the servo horn. The horn can be turned freely and the servo accurately reports it’s position. However, the motor immediately trips an over-current error after any attempt to apply torque. This happens for both new position commands and manual movements of the servo.

Your symptoms sound a lot like the motor has experienced some sort of damage to the motor. If any movement of the horn or application of torque triggers an overload error it’s likely that your servo will require some amount of component replacement in order to return to functionality.
